Conventional effluent monitoring cannot reveal the effects expressed at cellular level. At 0.1, 0.73 and 1.27 mg/L chromium, perceptible amount of cellular aberration was measured. MN in tannery exposed fish tissues was ordered, gill cells>peripheral erythrocyte>kidney.
