We evaluate the effect of copper sulphate pentahydrate on citrus canker intensity. This low copper compound and copper oxychloride reduced the incidence of the disease. Both compounds avoided biofilm formation, first step in canker development. Notably, copper content in leaves sprayed with the low copper compound was lower. This compound could constitute a useful tool for the management of citrus canker.
