Homocysteine level is strongly related to the combined cardiovascular outcome. The SNPs for MTHFR-C667T alters homocysteine levels in coronary artery disease patients relevantly but MS-D919G and CBS-I278T only moderately. All investigated SNPs had no impact to predict prognosis in coronary artery disease patients.
