Cisplatin-based chemotherapy (CCC) is optimal treatment for metastatic bladder cancer. Less than half of older patients with metastatic bladder cancer were prescribed CCC. Older age independently predicted failure to receive first-line CCC. Chemotherapy early discontinuation occurred in early one-fourth of patients. Older age independently predicted early discontinuation chemotherapy.
