The Bi4Fe5−xMxO13F (M = Mn, Cr) solid solutions are prepared. The crystal structures feature a frustrated magnetic pentagonal Cairo lattice. Antiferromagnetic ordering is detected for the Cr- and Mn-doped compounds.
