MgO-CaO-P2O5-SiO2 invert glass in orthophosphate region was successfully prepared. The glass structure consists of orthophosphate (Qp0) and orthosilicate (QSi0). MgO in the glass acts as a network former to crosslink Qp0 and QSi0. The glass released therapeutic ions gradually.
