Nanoparticles of two zinc(II) coordination polymers (CPs), have been synthesized by a sonochemical process. The nanoparticles were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray powder diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and elemental analyses. The topological analysis of the compounds were studied. Zinc(II) oxide nanoparticles have been prepared by calcination of zinc (II) CPs.
