Enhanced dechlorination of m-DCB using iron@graphite/palladium (Fe@C/Pd) nanoparticles produced by pulsed laser ablation in liquid

Pulsed laser ablation in liquid (PLAL) method was used for nanocatalyst synthesis.

Graphite-encapsulated Fe (Fe@C) NPs were easily prepared by PLAL.

Methanol was used as both a carbon source and solvent for Fe@C NPs.

Fe@C/Pd NPs showed an enhanced degradation efficiency of m-DCB.

Fe@C/Pd NPs with 1.71 wt % of Pd showed an excellent dechlorination efficiency.
