We study an evolutionary game with intrinsically motivated agents (e.g. doctors).

We consider the introduction of a P4P scheme on agents’ effort and motivation.

Vocational issues may play an important role in the desirability of a P4P scheme.

The social context and work ethics are important for the success of a scheme.
