Chemiluminescence of creatinine/H2O2 has been reported for the first time.
Co2+ can remarkably enhance the chemiluminescence of creatinine/H2O2.
Sensitive and selective chemiluminescent detection of creatinine has been achieved.
The method also has the advantages of simplicity, rapidity, and low cost.
It can successfully detect creatinine in human urine samples after dilution.
