The physical, elastic and shielding propertiesof ternary lead zinc phosphate glasses has been investigated Increase in the density of the glasses results in a change in crosslink density. Increase of PbO content causes an increase in μ/ρ while the HVL and the EBF were decreased. The sound velocity and elastic properties increased suggests the rigidity of the glasses has decreased. These glasses are potentially used as shielding material.
