Phosphorus-based dendrimers adsorbed on montmorillonite or stevensite by cation exchange. The clay minerals became hydrophobic and resisted somewhat dehydroxylation. MB adsorbed on organoclays as MB+ and MBH2 +, principally on external and planar surfaces. As a result of MB adsorption, an ordered structure occurred and AlIV was expelled.
