New OH-functionalized polyimide was developed based on 9,10-dimethyl-2,3,6,7-triptycene tetracarboxylic dianhydride.

Aged membrane (250 days) showed excellent gas separation performance for CO2/CH4 separation.

TDA1-APAF polyimide offers simultaneous removal of CO2 and N2 from raw natural gas.

Mixed-gas plasticization resistance up to 30 bar (1:1 CO2/CH4 feed; 35 °C).

10–20% increase in mixture CO2/CH4 selectivity over pure-gas values up to 30 bar.
