We examined long-term changes in coastal nutrient and phytoplankton. The nutrient contents and structure have substantially changed in the past 30 years. Phytoplankton communities have been miniaturized due to environmental changes. The alga bloom species have greatly changed from diatoms to dinoflagellates.
