Nasonia vitripennis females remate when male density is high and they can oviposit.

Females that remate do not gain more time to oviposit when male density is high.

Superficially these findings are suggestive of convenience polyandry.

The absence of cost mitigation contradicts the convenience polyandry hypothesis.
