The dissolution fraction of potassium can reach more than 83% with ultrasound. The intensified effect with ultrasound has more obvious at lower temperature. The leaching kinetics obeys a classical shrinking core model. The leaching process is controlled by the product layer diffusion. The improved leaching effect is attributed to the decreased activation energy.
