Movement of ions through channels is described by two theories. The electro diffusion theory and the transition state rate theory are applied. Different occupancy state models are used in the transition state rate theory. Light-induced ΔΨ across the thylakoid membrane is simulated by the models. Macroscopic ion fluxes and single-channel ion currents are simulated and discussed.
