Stable paramagnetic Mn(II) and Mn(III) bis(alkynyl) complexes of the type [trans(RClign=center border=0 SRC=/images/glyphs/BPR.GIF>C)₂Mn(dmpe)₂]ⁿ⁺ (R = Ph, SiMe₃, n = 0,1) have been prepared and characterized by spectroscopic, electrochemical, magnetic measurements and X-ray single crystal diffraction studies.
