Unintended childbearing impacts mothers and fathers in several life domains. Parents identify both negative and positive effects of an unintended birth. Mechanisms may either mitigate or exacerbate the effects of unintended childbearing. Workplace flexibility and childcare may be key mechanisms mitigating effects.
