A new technique for tracer gas experiments in turbomachinery environments is presented. A miniaturized solid state electrolyte sensor is mounted inside a traverse probe. Results from measurements in a two-stage low pressure turbine are shown. Results show good agreement between different sensors. The new technique is a valuable tool for the investigation of migration and mixing.
