Short communication: Effects of pulsation type (alternate and simultaneous) on mechanical milking of dairy goats (II)—Effect of milk pipeline height on the milking efficiency and status of teat-end in Murciano-Granadina goats
The use of alternate pulsation has better vacuum stability in high line milking machines. The use of alternate pulsation presented no relevant differences in teat-end status after milking. Studies are needed to determine how alternate and simultaneous pulsation affects production and milk composition and status of mammary gland in the long-term.
