An radiation manipulating method has been investigated using rigorous coupled-wave analysis. The radiative heat flux between metamaterial and ambient environment can be continuously tuned. Two non-tuning resonant modes have been discussed. The background tuning has been understood as the degeneration of Fabry-Perot.
