A novel photocatalyst of Bi/Pt-TiO2 was successfully synthesized. Some valuable compounds were transformed from lignin. The doping ratio of Bi and Pt is important for oxidative efficiency of lignin. The mechanism relies on production of h+ and O2− from Bi/Pt-TiO2.
