Different chemical pretreatments were performed to isolate lignin from rapeseed straw. A central composite design was used to optimize pretreatments conditions. Ethanol-organosolv pretreatment appeared to be a less time-consuming and more efficient than alkali treatment. Recovered lignins with both processes were characterized.
