A crosslinked PVA-based films reinforced with bacterial cellulose nanocrystal (BCNC) The effects of glycerol, BCNC and boric acid on the mechanical properties of the films were studied. Mechanical analysis was conducted using tensile and perforation tests. The optimum region was determined at contents of 13.89% glycerol, 5.00% BCNC and 1.96% boric acid. The intramolecular and intermolecular hydrogen and ether bonds were formed in PVA and/or BCNC chains by boric acid.
