A stochastic lattice model describing an epidemiological system is studied. The dynamics is based on the rules of the susceptible–infected–recovered model. The stationary states are obtained by Monte Carlo and mean-field approaches. The analysis is focused on the critical behavior of non-equilibrium phase transitions.
