CIE alters genetic variation in brain gene expression networks across BXD mice. Chronic intermittent ethanol and acute ethanol genomic profiles partially overlap. CIE alters synaptic transmission, neuron ensheathment, and neuronal projections. eQTL analyses in NAC reveal a regulatory hotspot for CIE response at the Nr2c2 locus. Dynamin 3 is altered by CIE, correlates with drinking, and is a suggestive cis-eQTL.
