Stability of colistin in water, leads to selection and development of new strains. Colistin resistant isolates from fresh water were belong to diverse clone with ST200, ST1296, single locus variant of ST200 on pgi and ST105, ST152 & ST1110 on tonB. Colistin resistance was mediated by MATE efflux pump. All the four colistin resistant isolates were intermediate resistant toward human serum and carrying Type1 fimbriae.
