Light-reflecting devices did not reduce the number of animal-vehicle collisions. Analyzed data contained a publication bias in favor of the effectiveness of devices. Annual number of animal-vehicle collisions showed no temporal autocorrelation. Effect size varied according to country and study design. Review revealed a lack of precision in documentation of animal-vehicle collision data.
