Small angle neutron scattering was used to probe changes in the core-shell structure of Pluronic P123 micelles as a function of increasing paclitaxel and Pluronic concentration. Complementary cryogenic- transmission electron microscopy measurements revealed that the increasing PTX concentration associated with the appearance of the larger particles of the drug surrounded by Pluronic micelles. At higher Pluronic concentration and a constant PTX concentration, the dimensions of micelles increased due to the altered hydrophobic environment in the core of micelles.
