Simultaneous improvement in electron transport and phonon scattering properties in Bi2Te3:Si nanocomposite thin films: Role of a conducting secondary phase
Different concentrations of Si were incorporated in Bi2Te3 thin films. Nanoscale and macroscale thermoelectric properties of Bi2Te3 and Bi2Te3/Si nanocomposite were studied. Interfacial Silicon strongly affects thermal and electrical properties of Bi2Te3. Bi2Te3/Si with optimized Si concentration, shows highest value of ZT ∼1.45.
