Development of signal optimization models for asymmetric two-leg continuous flow intersections

This paper presents two signal optimization models for asymmetric two-leg CFIs. The first model follows a two-step process to optimize signal plans and offsets. The second model uses MILP technique to concurrently optimize all variables. Both models include the queue constraints to prevent queue spillovers on links. The second model is more flexible in designing signal progression plans.
