Remote mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) results in distinct cognitive signature. Young mTBI, and older adults show impaired episodic but preserved semantic memory. In recounting their autobiographical memory, young mTBI recall less episodic detail. Our battery of cognitive tasks predicted mTBI status in young with 79.5% accuracy. Results indicate lingering memory deficits years after suffering mTBI.
