The effect of pollination-prevention on leaf senescence was genotype-dependent. Pollination-prevention delayed leaf senescence in late-released Chinese hybrids. Pollination-prevention reduced leaf NRE with genotypic difference. Leaf senescence tended to be delayed if leaf NRE is highly reduced.
