Effect of surfactants on the morphologies of TiO2 particles with high-performance scattering layer in dye-sensitized solar cells

A various TiO2 morphologies were prepared by TANHs surfactant via controlled hydrothermal process. Star-, flower-, short rod-, scree-shaped TiO2 particles were used as scattering layers photoanodes in DSSCs. TBAH surfactant based scree-shaped TiO2 nanoparticles achieved the highest power conversion efficiency as 9.86%. DSSCs based on the weight ratios TB-TiO2/a-TiO2 of (2:3) composites had the maximum conversion efficiency of 10.53%.
