Evolution of structural and magnetic properties in LaxCe2-xCo16Ti for 0 ≤x ≤ 2

LaxCe2-xCo16Ti magnetic properties are studied between x = 0 and x = 2 for the first time. The anisotropy field increases drastically and almost linearly for decreasing x. The saturation magnetization stays relatively constant for decreasing non-zero x. x near 1 shows promise as the best compromise for industrial magnets. The lattice parameters, structure types, and Curie temperatures are reported.
