Facile production of nanostructured cellulose from Elaeis guineensis empty fruit bunch via one pot oxidative-hydrolysis isolation approach

Nanocellulose was successfully isolated via one-pot oxidative-depolymerization isolation technique. CrI value of one-pot and multistep-derived nanocellulose was 80.3 and 75.4%, respectively. Product yield from the one-pot approach (42%) was higher than multistep process (27.5%). One-pot and multistep nanocellulose having the diameter of 51.6 ± 15.4 and 47.9 ± 23.7 nm, respectively.
