Experiments were conducted on a multi-stage liquid-desiccant air-conditioner. Various cooling water temperatures and ambient air conditions were studied. Cooling rates of up to 19.7 kW (latent) and 8.8 kW (sensible) were observed. Thermal and electric coefficients of performance of 0.58 and 4.7 were achieved. A variable effectiveness TRNSYS simulation was verified with the experimental data.
