One-pot synthesis of mesoporous Cu-SiO2-Al2O3 bifunctional catalysts for hydrogen production by dimethyl ether steam reforming

Mesoporous Cu-SiO2-Al2O3 catalysts were prepared by a modified EISA method. The addition of SiO2 preserved the long-range ordered mesoporous structure. The addition of SiO2 guaranteed high dispersion of Cu and CuAl2O4. The addition of SiO2 improved acid amount and helped to form Lewis acid. Cu-SiO2-Al2O3 catalysts exhibited high catalytic activity and well regenerability.
