Self-deflection suppression of bright spatial solitons in absorbing photovoltaic photorefractive crystals by periodic diffusion management

The theoretical model containing diffusion effect and absorption loss is proposed. Solitons follow a wiggling trajectory under diffusion effects managed periodically. The absorption loss causes the amplitude of wiggling trajectories to vary linearly. Managing properly the diffusion effect can suppress the self-deflection of solitons. A set of recursive equations describing the trajectory of solitons are formulated.
