High-resolution vibrational and rotational spectroscopy of CD2H+ in a cryogenic ion trap

Cold traps allow for accurate rovibrational and rotational spectroscopy of ions. Combined with a frequency comb, 108 rovibrational lines of CD2H+ have been detected. The rovibrational data yield accurate predictions of rotational transitions. Using a double resonance method, 25 rotational lines of CD2H+ have been measured.
