Platinum acetylide complexes with fluorene, carbazole and bithienyl motifs were examined. Thorough characterization of optical and electrochemical properties of new complexes has been carried out. Experimental findings were confirmed by DFT calculations. OLED's devices were prepared, where Pt(II) complexes had been used as emitters. The devices emitted yellow-greenish to orange-red light.
