High-strength concrete-filled-tubular (HCFT) columns are studied. Confined concrete in circular and octagonal sections are investigated. A curved-piecewise-Hermite (CPH) element is developed for HCFT columns. A plastic fiber hinge model using yield surfaces is proposed. Material models for confined concrete in circular and octagonal tubes are proposed.
