Mucoadhesive property of CS-NLC is enhanced for efficient drug delivery. The NLC and AP-NLC nanoparticles coated with CS were optimized according to coating ratios to NLC. CS-NLC shows both increased cellular uptake and toxicity, therefore optimization is needed.
