With the increasing demand for environmental protection in recent years, necessity for a highly efficient mechanical supercharger that can supercharge the engine from low engine speed range has become stronger. The Lysholm Compressor was first put on the world market by IHI to meet such requirements. Performance and functions of the Lysholm Compressor when used mainly for small passenger cars are reported here.
