During immunization under anti-ulcer drugs, 16% of animals do not develop food allergy. These animals show a significantly lower allergen uptake from intestine. Elevated allergen-specific levels of IL-22 are found in protected animals. Food allergy protection is associated with distinct intestinal bacterial species.
