Tuning the singlet and triplet state energy level of anthracene derivatives by changing 9,10-substituents to enhance the TTA upconversion.

The Ctriple bond; length of mdashC linker at 9,10-position significantly reduced the T1 state energy levels, while Csingle bondC linker does not.

Decrease the triplet energy level for energy acceptor can increase the TTET efficiency.
