Activated carbon (AC) preparation from industrial sisal fiber waste was evaluated. Industrial sisal fiber waste showed good potential to prepare activated carbon. Effects of carbonization parameters on surface characteristics were investigated. 650 °C (carbonization temperature) produced the highest surface area (1245 m2/g).
