A highly sensitive method for determination of H2B1a in bovine tissues is reported. A QuEChERS method and subsequent cleaning step were used for samples preparation. UHPLC–MS/MS was the technique selected for the quantitative/confirmatory method. LOQ of 8.0 μg/kg were achieved for fat, kidney, liver and muscle bovine tissues. The method can be used to verify withdrawal period for ivermectin in cattle.
