Temporal organization: A novel mechanism of hormonal control of male-typical sexual behavior in vertebrates
详细信息    查看全文
文摘
Circulating androgens control male-typical sexual behavior (MSB) in vertebrates. The onset and cessation of MSB after hormonal manipulations can be notably delayed. This delay can be sex-specific even if androgens induce full MSB in both sexes. Long-term and continuous behavioral testing is needed to assess the control of MSB. Testing in a few time points can lead to incorrect conclusions about MSB regulation.
